It is well-known that Lady Superstar Nayanthara has been striving to establish herself as a solo artist. While she has previously appeared in some lady-oriented films, they didn't quite emphadata-size Nayanthara's individual prowess. Conversely, she has also been involved in commercial films. Her 75th movie, 'Annapoorni,' released as a landmark film last year, unfortunately did not meet expectations. As a result, Nayanthara has decided to prioritize lady-oriented films moving forward. In a surprising move, Nayanthara has teamed up with director Shashi Kumar, who has been absent from the director's chair for 14 years. Shashi Kumar is a well-known actor in Kollywood, having starred in numerous films. Despite his success, he has directed only two films in the past.


Shashi Kumar gained recognition as a director with the movie 'Subramaniapuram,' which was a considerable success. However, his subsequent film, 'Eason,' did not fare as well at the box office. Following this setback, he refrained from directing films and focused on his acting career.


Now, after a hiatus of 14 years, Nayanthara has entrusted Shashi Kumar with the directorial responsibilities. It remains to be seen whether Nayanthara made this decision herself or if Shashi Kumar approached her with the right story. Currently, Shashi Kumar is relatively free as an actor, with only a few projects in progress.


In addition to his acting commitments, Shashi Kumar has also ventured into production, notably producing the film 'Pasang.' He has also contributed as a singer in two or three films. The collaboration between Nayanthara and Shashi Kumar has sparked curiosity among fans, eager to see what this dynamic duo will bring to the screen.
