Ciaz facelift gets same number of variants & near-identical color options
As per report the variant break-up of the upcoming refreshed Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has leaked online. Meanwhile the data-facelift for the mid-data-size sedan, scheduled to launch on August 20, will be available in the same four trim levels as the pre-data-facelift model Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. Accordingly the leak also confirms that the Ciaz data-facelift will get a mild-hybrid system, which Maruti calls Smart Hybrid, on the new 1.5 litre petrol engine and the 1.3-litre diesel motor.
Meanwhile like the pre-data-face lift model, the new Ciaz gets an optional automatic transmission, which will only be available with the petrol engine, while the diesel will continue with the five-speed manual. Moreover the Fiat sourced diesel engine is expected to be replaced at a later date with a new 1.5-litre diesel mill that is currently under development.
Furthermore the leaked document has also revealed
that the Ciaz data-facelift will be offered with near identical color options. Further
numbering seven, the exterior finishes include blue, black, brown, red, white,
grey and silver. Besides the new petrol engine and mild-hybrid tech, the Ciaz
data-facelift gets exterior tweaks such as LED headlamps and tail lamps, a slightly
different front bumper and a new grille shape with a chrome garnish on higher spec
variants.
