honda City is an emotion, an icon that has basked in glory over two decades in India. With every generation, the Japanese carmakers had something new and innovative to offer, whether revolutionary powertrain or eye-catching aesthetics. The launch of 5th generation City is around the corner, and it is clear in the prima facia, honda is going strong with the aesthetics and features. With over four million City customers, honda can do little wrong in nailing the new-gen to perfection, yet again.

The 5th generation honda City will be available in both petrol and diesel BS6 compliant variants. Interestingly, the 4th generation honda City will be sold alongside its successor but will only be available in a BS6 compliant petrol variant.

honda Cars india, with both the cars in the market side-by-side, wants to offer a greater choice to the buyers. honda City, currently available, it priced Rs 10.10 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards, takes on the likes of hyundai Verna and maruti Suzuki Ciaz. In all likelihood, the 5th-gen City should start at around Rs 50,000 - 80,000 over the current model. The new honda City seems to have adopted the ‘ambitious sedan’ design with an enhanced stance.
