A few days ago we got a glimpse of the upcoming Kia Carnival luxury MPV, which is the next-generation model of this MPV. The company has now revealed a picture showing the interior of this new model, in which many interesting details have come to light. However, the basic cabin layout has not been changed. Its new dual-tone color scheme looks quite attractive.

How is the interior?

The most special thing about this updated model is the introduction of a dual-screen setup. The first screen is for an advanced touchscreen infotainment system, which is equipped with new smartphone connectivity features. While the second screen is given for the wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital cluster. Its center console has been redesigned, with touch-based buttons and a new rotary knob for gear selection, which provides an advanced experience. 

Its dashboard and steering wheel have been retained in the 2024 Kia Carnival. Other features of this MPV have not been disclosed yet. According to media reports, this MPV can get new seat upholstery taken from the EV9 model along with an advanced ADAS suite. Features like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane assist, and blind spot monitoring will be available.

Design

Talking about design details, the new Carnival is likely to get a wide front grille adorned with chrome accents, an L-shaped headlamp with distinctive DRL, and many other details. Its newly designed alloy wheels are very similar to the global models EV5 and EV9. The rear gets the same L-shaped taillamps, which are interconnected by an LED light bar, along with a matte black bumper with distinctive chrome detailing.

In the global market, the new Kia Carnival will be available with three engine options, which include two petrol and one diesel engine. This MPV has an updated 1.6-liter turbo petrol hybrid powertrain, which generates 227bhp power and 350Nm torque. However, it is expected to come in the indian market with the existing 2.2-litre diesel engine. Which can generate maximum power of 200bhp and 440Nm torque. It will be mated to an 8-speed 'Sportsmatic' automatic gearbox. In India, the new Kia Carnival will be brought as a CKD unit.
