On the 162nd anniversary of his birth, political leaders paid tribute to Nobel laureate and bengali polymath Rabindranath Tagore. In honour of Tagore, nitin gadkari, the union minister for roads, transport, and highways, tweeted: "Remembering the winner of the Nobel prize and true soul of the indian National Anthem Jana-Gana-Mana Gurudev rabindranath tagore on the occasion of his birth anniversary."


The congress also honoured Tagore with tributes. We honour rabindranath tagore, a Nobel Laureate who wrote India's National Anthem, on the anniversary of his birth. The Bard of Bengal, who made a significant contribution to bengali writing and was the first indian to receive the Nobel prize for writing in 1913, received this honour.
