Chennai: Today is the 80th birthday of Sivakumar, a versatile actor, painter, speaker, and writer. 

Sivakumar is still hailed as the ' Markandeyan' as an impeccable moralist in the film industry. He lives her life as a follower of high morals and as a role model for many. 

He is a favourite of many and a guide to many in the film industry and his life is an example for those who excel in all fields.

Sivakumar made his acting debut in AC Thirulogachandra's 1965 film 'Kakkum Karangal.' Following that, he appeared in other films as a supporting actor, including 'Kandan Karuna' and 'Thunive Thozan.' 

Sivakumar later began acting as a hero and has appeared in over 200 films. His name is associated with many films, including 'Annakkili,' 'Rosappu Ravikaikkari,' and 'Sindhu Bhairavi.' MGR, sivaji Ganesan, gemini Ganesan, Muthuraman, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijaykanth, and sathyaraj are among Sivakumar's co-stars.

Sivakumar's paintings have also been shown at exhibitions. By the age of 24, many of his works were well-known. Sivakumar has painted a wide range of works, from vintage Cotton to contemporary works. Sivakumar's paintings have also been collected in a book titled "Paintings of Sivakumar." 

"Perhaps if Sivakumar had persisted in the realm of painting without going to the screen, he would have been rewarded in modern painting as well," the late painter Veera santhanam once stated.

Author/Speaker Sivakumar, who has a penchant for keeping journals, has kept a record of every event since he began acting in them. Sivakumar is also a public speaker with a focus on literature and society. 

 Orator Sivakumar, at the age of 67, flicked through the Kambaramayana to speak at the Kamban Institute at the prompting of Solomon Papaya, the orator and was moved by the Kamban poet to unravel the entire thread.

The complete Ramayana account was prepared in ordinary man's language, without a drop of water or a scrap of paper in front of 8,000 students at Erode college and spoke nonstop for 2 hours and 20 minutes, and the entire audience listened without making a peep. Who has read the Mahabharata from beginning to end?
