The state of tamil Nadu under new chief minister MK Stalin's regime goes for a complete Lockdown until May 24th. This complete lockdown begins on May 10th and will be active for 2 weeks. As the second wave of COVID has gone out of control, several states have imposed a complete lockdown. Recently, karnataka has also imposed a complete lockdown until May 24th as the number of positive cases has crossed 55%.
There has been an upsurge in the number of positive cases in tamil Nadu and there seems to be no slowing down. The government after discussion with several authorities has now declared a complete lockdown until May 24th. This lockdown is essential to control the spread of the second wave as tamil Nadu has data-faced 26,000 positive cases every day and the death toll is also increasing.
During this lockdown, TASMAC shops will be closed. All Private and government Transport also will be shut down. Grocery stores can be opened until 12 pm. Restaurants can be opened, but only parcel services are allowed. No other vehicle movements are allowed inside the city until the government issues further notice. Already, karnataka has issued a complete lockdown with similar norms.
