PM Modi addressed a meeting of the CSIR Society via video conferencing and he was all praise for India's scientists for developing a vaccine against COVID-19. PM Modi heaped praises for developing a 'Made-in-India' vaccine against COVID-19 and boosting other measures to fight against the deadly virus. PM Modi also said indian scientists are now working shoulder to shoulder with their counterparts outside.
He further said, "From agriculture to astronomy, disaster management to defense technology, a vaccine to virtual reality, india aspires to become self-reliant & empowered in every direction. india is leading the world in fields of sustainable development & clean energy." Modi also recalled his 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat'
and said even though the second wave has slowed down its pace, the resolution remains the same and he wants india to be self-reliant in all sectors ranging from Agriculture to Astronomy, Disaster Management to Defence Technology, Vaccines to Virtual Reality, Biotechnology to Battery Technology. PM Modi also said india is now leading the way in sustainable development and clean energy. Noting that the world is grappling with the biggest challenge in a century, the prime minister praised the scientific community, saying it is perhaps unprecedented that vaccines were prepared within a year.
