Haseen Dilruba Review - Neither Romantic nor Thrilling
Haseen Dilruba is finally out on OTT medium Netflix now and the expectations around the movie are higher since the trailer has been released. taapsee pannu and vikrant massey gave some solid performances, but they are not used to shoddy writing. The movie is expected to be in lines of romantic Thriller, but it never ends as either romantic or a thriller.
Right from the word go, as an audience, we feel tired and we are badly in need of a pause. We see a guy kicking the bucket and there is a wedding event and things just don't get better even later. Netflix makes sure they just buy bad films from the indian industry. If it is 'Jagame Thandhiram' earlier, now it is 'Haseen Dilruba'.
The movie speaks about the perils of arranged marriage and it is conveyed in the most disappointing manner. If you think, Taapsee made a mistake with 'Judwaa 2', she has done even a bigger mistake by signing 'Haseen Dilruba' as the movie failed to utilize such a potential actress. Massey also has given some solid acting like a local small-town person who admires his lovely wife, but he gets angry when she tries to cross the line.
