COVISHIELD vaccination is Useless against Delta Variant says ICMR
16% of the people who have been vaccinated with COVISHIELD are again infected by Delta Variant and ICMR has found that COVISHIELD doesn't possess any antibody against this new delta variant. ICMR has announced this after doing research with COVISHIELD vaccinated samples. Currently, Delta Variant is spreading faster and it affects lots of people and the medical community is clueless right now on treating this new variant.
France has already announced that this delta variant has caused the fourth wave in their country and they also warned the people to be cautious by following all the guidelines. Among the viruses which spread due to various waves, this new delta variant seems to be the most powerful one, and WHO also warned people to be on the safer side by taking the vaccination.
This delta variant also increases lots of death toll and the hospitals are again running out of beds to treat the patients. To find a suitable vaccine for this variant, ICMR conducted several types of research and found that 16% of people who took two doses of COVISHIELD are again infected by this variant and it is found to be useless now. However, ICMR has warned people to take vaccines as there would be no other way to fight against this deadly variant.
