How Many Crores Dosage of Vaccine is needed in India? Union Health Minister answers!
Currently, india is ramping up the vaccination drive and for anyone who is above 18 years of age, it is mandatory to get jabbed and we can see several celebrities, VIPs and even the topmost influential persons are waiting in queue to get jabbed. Now, in this case, the Union health Minister has revealed how many Crores dose of vaccine is still needed across India?
During a press interview, Union health Minister Bharathi praveen said that india needs 188 Crores dosage of vaccines and there is still a lot of shortage and the government is ensuring all possible ways to increase the production. During the Parliamentary Monsoon session, several questions were raised regarding this vaccine drive and even more questions like how much compensation was provided to the frontline workers and Nurses who lost their lives during this COVID battle?
Regarding everything praveen Pawar replied and said that 50 Lakhs compensation was provided so far to all the frontline workers and india still runs out of 188 Crores dosage of vaccines. The Union health Minister also promised that india will be fulfilling the dosage requirements of 188 Crores dosage of vaccines by december 2022 and he also ensured the price of COVISHIELD vaccine as Rs.600, COVAXIN vaccine as Rs.1200, and Sputnik-V as Rs.948 only.
