Which State in India has higher number of 20+ years old vehicles? Here's the List!
In this article, we can see which state holds the most number of 20+-year-old vehicles, and right now the Union government undertakes a survey to eradicate many old vehicles to reduce pollution. Union Environmental minister Aswini has taken a survey of old vehicles which are more than 20 years old and among the states, karnataka ranks first with having a higher number of old vehicles and delhi ranks second behind Karnataka.
More than 75 lakh vehicles from these two places are 20+ years old and still, they are polluting the environment. karnataka state exactly has 39.48 lakh vehicles that are more than 20 years of age. delhi ranks second with 36.14 lakh vehicles and Uttar Pradesh ranks third with 26.20 lakh vehicles.
The fourth-place belongs to kerala with 20.67 lakh vehicles and tamil Nadu grabs the fifth spot with 15.99 lakh vehicles and punjab ranks behind tamil Nadu with a small margin as they have 15.32 lakh vehicles. On the whole, india has more than 2.15 Crore vehicles which are more than 20 years old and this is indeed higher and is scary as they really pollute the environment. No wonder, delhi has a poor air Quality Index and is highly polluted now.
