World health Organization (WHO) chief scientist Selamia swaminathan says it is not necessary to vaccinate children in the current scenario. At the same time, she stressed the importance of staying cautious and being aware to prevent the spread of the third wave. Regarding this, She said, "Corona prevention measures need to adhere and we need to be very cautious as the third wave may hit us anytime now.

65% of children already have antibodies. Many children are already infected with the corona and have developed immunity right now and they naturally have the power against any new infections. Children may not have much corona infection as they are asymptomatic. It is not necessary to vaccinate children in the current environment. I definitely recommend the government and steps must be taken to reopen schools."

Already tamil Nadu government is making plans to reopen schools from september 1st and already a GO has been passed that schools will be reopened for Classes 9th to 12th from 1st of september and teachers are asked to come to school instead of taking online classes. With things getting better, definitely schools will be reopened for the rest of the classes too.
