The
chennai high court has ordered the
tamil Nadu
government to respond to a lawsuit filed by actor
mammootty and his family against the declaration of Patta land as Kaluveli outlying land. Actor
mammootty, his son Dulquer
salman and his family own 40 acres of land in Karunkulipallam
village in Chengalpattu district,
tamil Nadu, and the land was reclassified as reserve land by the Kaluveli outcrop and issued by the Commissioner of Land Administration during last March.
Mammootty and his family filed a case in the
chennai high court against the order and the petition states that the land classified as private land in 2007 has been reclassified as a levee outcrop and an order has been issued again.
The
chennai high court, which heard the case, had ordered that no drastic action should be taken against the land and when the case came up for hearing, Judge Bhavani Subramanian directed the
tamil Nadu
government to respond to the case and adjourned the case till
september 27th. The
tamil Nadu
government is now expected to answer the
high court to
mammootty regarding this land case and if this case gets in favor of
mammootty it would be a huge
success for him.
