Noel Tata has stepped down from his direct management position and has taken over as CEO of Tata International. The most important reason for making this decision was his age. noel Tata has resigned from the Tata Group as per his retirement policy.


Age Limit As per the rules of Tata Group, the Chairman of the Board should not be above 65 years of age and should not be eligible for all board posts above the age of 70 years and should resign from the post beyond the specified age limit. According to this, noel has left all direct management responsibilities to Tata at the age of 65.

Noel is currently the non-executive chairman of Tata Trent, Tata Investment, Voltas, Tata international and vice president of Titan.
