M. Abdul Rahman, Chairman of the
tamil Nadu Waqf Board, expressed his optimism that
chief minister MK
stalin would take steps to free the long-serving Muslim convicts detained in the
coimbatore blast case. An appreciation ceremony for the Chairman of the
tamil Nadu Waqf Board, M. Abdul Rahman, was held yesterday at the Grand
mosque on Tennur High Road in Trichy on behalf of the Mahalla Masjid Jamaat Assembly.
M.Abdulrahman, who is involved in this, told reporters, "We are engaged in efforts to retrieve the properties owned by the Waqf Board that are occupied in
tamil Nadu." More than 700 lifers in
tamil Nadu jails will be released after careful deliberation, according to
chief minister MK Stalin. Given the government's requirements, several community leaders
believe there is little likelihood of Muslims being released from prison.
It is being propagated false information that
people who have been caught and imprisoned, particularly in the instance of the
coimbatore bombings, cannot be released in any way. By no means should anyone lose hope. The
chief minister does not discriminate on the basis of
religion or socioeconomic status and we hope some
good news soon from the TN CM.
