Union home minister amit shah also congratulated each member of the Navy and their families. amit shah said the country was proud of the Navy's efforts to protect India's waters and to stand by the people in the data-face of domestic challenges. 


Indian Navy Day is celebrated on december 4 to commemorate the heroic service of the Navy in the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War. The aim of the day is to commemorate the glorious work of the indian Navy in protecting the country's data-borders and to make the general public aware of those services.
