government said in the statement that the increased incentives would apply to ASHA
workers working under the National
health Mission, Ministry of
health, and Family Welfare from
june this year.
ASHA
workers have previously raised concerns about raising their wages. ASHA
workers also served on a par with doctors during covid. ASHA
workers work over 8 hours a day. The
workers made remarkable efforts during the corona. Many appreciated the performance of ASHA
workers during this time.
ASHA
workers have previously expressed concern that wages would not rise despite the increasing workload. Their minimum wage was very less. They demanded a little higher for the hard work they do. In addition, TAs and DAs were also asked to give. With the increased incentive from the state
government, ASHA
workers are likely to get some relief. There is a sigh of relief for those
