Kazakhstan Civil-War Unrest: 48 killed in Violence!!

There is a civil war-like situation in kazakhstan at the moment. 48 people are reported to have died in the violence so far. There have also been incidents of arson in the country.



There have been many incidents of violence and arson in kazakhstan, rich in oil wealth. The protesters have killed the policemen by slitting their throats. 



On the other hand, policemen have also opened fire. So far 48 people are reported to have died in the violence. Amidst the deteriorating situation, russia has sent its army to the country. The President has been permitted to shoot without warning.



Dozens of protesters were shot

Police forces and security personnel have opened fire on the protesters. 18 policemen have also died in the violence on both sides. The death toll is being estimated to be much higher than this.



The government has resigned after the ongoing violence and deteriorating situation. At the same time, people have taken to the streets in Almaty, the main centre of the protest. 



This includes the mayor's office. It is being told that in an incident of violence, a policeman has been brutally beheaded.



Kazakhstan was carved out of the Soviet Union

Kazakhstan came into existence as an independent country three decades ago after independence from the Soviet Union. The Central Asian country is facing the worst protests ever. 


Demonstrations began on sunday over the drastic increase in LPG fuel prices. The demonstrations that started in the west of the country spread to Almaty and the capital Nur-Sultan.
