A big historic decision has been taken in the country before Republic Day. It is reported that on Friday, the amar Jawan Jyoti flame will be merged with the National war Memorial Jyoti. An officer of the indian Army gave this information on Thursday.

"At a ceremony on Friday, the amar Jawan Jyoti flame at india gate will be extinguished and merged with the National war Memorial flame," he said.

According to officials, the ceremony will be presided over by Chief of Integrated Defense Staff air Marshal Balabhadra Radha Krishna, who will fuse the flames of both monuments.

The british Government erected the india gate Memorial in memory of the indian soldiers who died between 1914 and 1921. Simultaneously, the amar Jawan Jyoti was incorporated into the memorial structure following India's massive victory over pakistan in the 1970s, in which 93,000 enemy soldiers surrendered.

After a long wait, the narendra modi government built the National war Memorial in the india gate complex, which was inaugurated in 2019. All military ceremonial events were relocated to the war Memorial after it was completed.
