The kerala high court has ordered actor dileep to hand over all of his old phones in a sealed envelope on Monday. The defence in the actor assault case has been requested to present six phones in a contained environment to the high court in the case of plan to assassinate investigating officers. The prosecution had requested seven phones in the case, but there was some misunderstanding over the seventh phone, forcing the court to request six phones instead.
The judgement was issued by a single-judge bench led by Justice Gopinath P while reviewing the Crime Branch's request to recover cell phones pertaining to star dileep and other defendants in the case. Despite Dileep's lawyers' demands for a tuesday timeframe, noting the fact that the phones are already in bombay, the court stood fast in its determination to return them by Monday. The actor allegedly shipped the smartphones to mumbai for a forensic examination, according to the defence. Furthermore, the court ruled that the results of such an investigation could not be considered genuine.
However, the prosecutor has requested that the restraint on star dileep and the other accused in the case be lifted, citing the actor's lack of cooperation. On Monday, this will be reviewed. Dileep's side alleged that the criminal branch was targeting him without reason. In a case against them, the performer and five others are requesting bail for allegedly conspiring to hurt the authorities investigating the 2017 actor alleged rape.
