'Jai Shriram' or 'Allah Akbar' cannot be encouraged on school grounds, according to karnataka school education minister PC Nagesh. "No one can take law and order into their own hands," he told reporters. Any misbehaviour will not be tolerated by the government. When that student arrived in Mandya, he was surrounded by no students. He was not approached by any students. On school grounds, saying 'Jai Shriram' or 'Allah Akbar' is not encouraged.

"Schools should follow what the uniforms indicate," maharashtra minister aditya thackeray stated on the issue of hijab. Only education should be the goal of education centres. It is not appropriate to bring religious or political problems to schools or institutions. Yesterday, an ABVP activist wearing a kavit piece and yelling "Jai Shriram" encircled a student wearing a hijab at Hassan government College. On social media, a video of a student yelling 'Allah Akbar' alone, unafraid of the crowd, went viral.

As the hijab problem in karnataka grows, opposition parties such as the congress and Majatha have called on the state government to close schools and universities. Following this, chief minister Basavaraj Pomma declared a "three-day holiday" for all state schools and colleges.
