HC allowed police action in a case of intimidation of judges during a hijab protest

The karnataka high court heard a plea filed by seven petitioners seeking pre-trial detention in a case of judge intimidation during a rally against the hijab judgement. There is no stumbling block to police action while these petitions are being processed. The police in thiruvananthapuram have filed a complaint against us for threatening high court judges during the demonstration. In the case, the petitioners had asked for pre-bail.


The petitions came up for hearing before Judge K. Muralishankar. The public prosecutor argued that the petitioners had protested without permission. During the demonstration, state spokesman M. Tolbeek spoke in a threatening manner to the high court judges. Therefore, the petitioners should not be granted bail. '

On behalf of the petitioners, they were asked for time to present their arguments. The case is being re-assigned to another judge, and he will return to court on march 30. The judge ruled that the pending of these petitions was not an impediment to police action and now the case has got a new dimension due to this verdict from the HC justices.
