Minister A. Chakrabarty, who presented the beneficiaries with jewellery loan forgiveness certificates, jewelery and different loans, and new family cards, said: "In tamil Nadu, 11 lakh new family cards have been granted thus far." Dindigul district has issued 36,000 new family cards. A large number of family cards has been discovered in over 5,000 fair pricing businesses across tamil Nadu. The chief minister has ordered that these stores be separated. Work is being done in an appropriate manner. Jewelery debts of Rs 208 crore have been wiped off in Dindigul district alone. A total of 54,600 people have benefited as a result of this. "Loans around Rs 20 crore have been wiped off in the Ottanchatram constituency alone," he claimed. A total of 1,977 people received various forms of welfare assistance.
