If posters are plastered on the name plates of streets and roads, the chennai Corporation has warned that serious action will be taken. According to a press release issued by the Corporation of chennai, the Corporation is carrying out beautification works such as the removal of solid waste, the planting of trees at roadblocks, and the erection of vertical parks on bridges in order to maintain cleanliness in the areas under its jurisdiction. posters that had been plastered in public locations, such as government and business buildings, bus stops, and bridges, have also been removed and replaced with colourful paintings.

On behalf of the chennai Corporation, steps are being taken to put name plates on all streets and roads. Persons and businesses who place posters and other ads on existing street nameplates and new street nameplates will be punished and penalised under the tamil Nadu Open Spaces Protection Act 1959.

To preserve the city of chennai clean and beautiful, the people should cooperate fully with the corporation's efforts and refrain from posting posters and advertisements on the name plates of public sites and streets and if not you may even go to Jail.
