The Marine police rescued the Sri Lankan tamil family who had arrived as refugees after receiving the information and transported them to the Mandapam Marine police station for questioning. Sri Lanka's debt-ridden government has given a $200 million credit line to india in order to obtain emergency petroleum supplies, according to the nation's power and energy minister. Four shipments are expected to arrive in May. minister Kanchana Wijesekkera said at a press briefing that Lanka was in talks with New delhi about extending the credit line by another $500 million.
