Following the decrease in corona infection, tourist centres in Kanyakumari have begun weeding. Despite the arrival of summer, the number of visitors did not meet expectations in April. In the previous week, a big number of tourists have visited Kanyakumari, despite the fact that student examinations have begun in May. Tourists say there are more visitors this year than in the previous two years. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, tourists from Kerala, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh, as well as northern areas like gujarat and Maharashtra, flocked to Ramadan.
As a result, all of Kanyakumari's government and commercial hostels were inundated. Thousands of visitors flocked to the Triveni Sangam to see the dawn early in the morning. Selpi and her family took in the sunrise with the Vivekananda rock and Thiruvalluvar statue in the background. The sunset spectacle drew many crowds as well. Tourists have been queuing since the morning to visit the Vivekananda rock and Thiruvalluvar statue at the Poompuhar Shipping Corporation boat house. Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari Bhagavathyamman Temple, Ecological Park, Arun Gallery, and Ramayana Exhibition Hall were also popular with visitors.
Vattakottai, Tirapparappu Falls, Mathur Thottipalam, Padmanabhapuram Palace, Udayagirikottai, and all of Kumari district's tourism attractions were similarly busy yesterday. More than 2 lakh visitors have visited Kanyakumari in the last week alone. 60,000 tourists have visited the Vivekananda rock and Thiruvalluvar statue by boat in the last several days. After the school and college holidays, Kanyakumari is likely to see an increase in crowds. Tourists and retailers alike are pleased with the increase in visitor numbers.
