The fact that power star and Jana Sena party president pawan kalyan has made an open offer for an alliance to the telugu Desam party, led by former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, has sparked tremendous speculation in political and media circles. Many tdp leaders are unconcerned about Pawan Kalyan's proposal and believe that no compromise on the number of seats the tdp will contest in the next elections is possible.

They claim the party is willing to give up a few seats to the alliance partner, but not to the point where the tdp loses its total majority. It also refuses to make concessions on the chief ministerial candidate. The tdp, on the other hand, is still keen to join the coalition provided the bjp agrees. Despite the fact that the bjp is not a major political force in the state, an alliance with the party would enable Naidu gain significant support from the federal government.

The tdp head has learned that revolting against the bjp central leadership in general and prime minister Narendra Modi in particular was a major error, and the bjp has ultimately assisted the ysr Congress, led by Y S jagan Mohan Reddy, in wresting power from the TDP. As a result, the tdp is willing to take a step back for the bjp, but not for the Jana Sena Party. According to tdp insiders, if the bjp accepts to the alliance, the tdp is willing to grant the bjp up to 13 lok sabha seats out of a total of 25.

Andhra Pradesh is now Naidu's first focus, not the federal government. At the same time, he understands that the BJP's primary goal is to win the national polls, not the state elections. So, if he can assist the bjp win more mp seats in Andhra Pradesh, he believes the bjp will help the tdp gain power in the state as a reward. If the Jana Sena joins the alliance, it will be even more beneficial to the TDP.
