Oscar Nomination For RRR – That Won’t Work!
In many parts of India, Rajamouli's magnum opus is out of theatres, yet the film is doing the unfathomable on Netflix. Many American critics and hollywood celebrities have praised the hindi version of the film, which is the most watched non-English film on the streaming service. And there's a debate about the movie going on in cinematic circles.
With so much buzz surrounding rrr, many moviegoers are wondering if the picture will be nominated for an Academy Award in the near future. The majority of films nominated in the "Best Foreign Film" category are art-house films rather than mainstream blockbusters. However, when rrr is compared to musical love stories like "La La Land," one can't help but hope that "RRR" will be nominated as well.
