Jagan gives pleasant surprise to Muslims
Following the partition, telangana state, which has a sizable Muslim population, adopted the same approach. But in Andhra Pradesh, the previous N Chandrababu Naidu-led telugu desam party administration utterly disregarded Muslim demands. The demand persisted even after jagan Mohan reddy took office in 2019, but his administration paid it little heed.
The jagan administration ultimately granted the go-ahead for urdu to be recognised as the second national language after a protracted delay. All district administrations in the state are required to follow this directive without fail, according to a notification that was issued on thursday to that effect. The announcement came after the previous assembly session's passage of a measure altering the Official language Act. Md. Amzad Basha, the deputy chief minister, proposed the law, which was unanimously approved.
