The supreme court will hear the matter tomorrow. However, the court has refused to stay the interim stay on the order of the madras high court to conduct the postmortem again.


The supreme court has agreed to hear the plea of the deceased student's father, seeking to include a health officer of his choice in the panel to conduct the post-mortem again.


The student died on July 13

In fact, a 17-year-old student studying in a private residential school at Chinnasalem in Kallakurichi was found dead on July 13. The girl student lived on the third floor of the hostel. It is believed that he committed suicide by jumping from the third floor. The post-mortem report of the girl purportedly revealed that there were injury marks on her body before she died.

Violence broke out on July 17

Violence broke out in Kallakurichi on 17 July following the death of a schoolgirl. A total of 67 vehicles, including 37 school buses, cars, and tractors, were torched by the protesters in the violence. 48 two-wheelers, including police vehicles, were damaged. More than 108 people were injured in the violence. The police produced a total of 120 accused involved in this violence.


Two teachers have also been arrested.

In this case, the family members of the student had also alleged harassment by the teachers. After this, the police arrested two teachers. Earlier, three officials, including the principal, secretary of the school were arrested.
