Denied cabinet berth, MLA gets cabinet rank post!
Dharmasri, a leader in the youth congress and a devoted supporter of the late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, who served as chief minister, was first chosen as an mla from the Madugula assembly constituency in the 2004 general election. Since then, he has developed into a well-known figure in Visakhapatnam. Due to the existence of the praja rajyam Party, he lost the 2009 elections on the congress ticket by a slim margin. He ran for office in 2014 on the YSRC ticket but was narrowly defeated once more. He did, however, win as an mla for a second time in 2019.
Dharmasri's name stood out among the probables when the chief minister recently reshuffled the government. However, his exclusion from the list sparked vehement criticism from his supporters. Some of them even set tyres on fire on the streets to show their disapproval. Dharmasri shed tears as well after being passed up for the cabinet position but he did not rebel against the party. The mla met jagan when he recently visited Visakhapatnam, and the chief minister promised to give him a key job.
