How Aamir Khan Kills Hollywood Classics?
Everyone in this scenario of globalisation is exposed to everything. Remaking something in another language at the moment, when OTTs rule the world, is not a good idea. But even looking back, aamir khan consistently failed horribly at the box office anytime he attempted some hollywood remakes. The most notable one is dhoom 3, which he took inspiration from in "The prestige." The Indianization of this christopher nolan movie was so awful that it completely lost its appeal.
The classic disaster "Thugs of Hindustan," which was adapted from "Pirates of the Caribbean," comes next. Why did Amir Khan initially think that this setting would work in the indian subcontinent? It would be like trying to grow an American Redwood tree in tropical indian soil. The concept itself is terrible, the Caribbean costumes looked ridiculous on a bollywood screen, and whatever is added to the Nativity is out of step with the story. Finally, it turned out to be a nauseating mixture, making everyone's efforts pointless.
