IAF officers sacked fired missile in Pakistan
Let us inform you that an air Vice Marshal was given the responsibility of accidental firing of BrahMos supersonic cruise missile from air Headquarters. After a detailed investigation, three persons were held responsible for the incident.
Let us tell you that on march 9, a missile accidentally fell on the land of Pakistan. Defense minister Rajnath Singh gave a detailed reply in parliament on march 15 after pakistan raised the matter. He had said that a high-level inquiry has been ordered into the incident related to the accidental launch of the missile in Pakistan. "Unfortunately on march 9, a missile was launched by mistake. The incident happened during a routine inspection. We later came to know that it had landed in pakistan," he had said in the Rajya Sabha.
At the same time, pakistan had said that the missile flew 100 km inside its airspace at an altitude of 40,000 feet and at three times the speed of sound. There was no warhead on the missile, so it did not explode. The missile fell in the city of Mian Channu, Pakistan. There was no major damage to property or loss of life of any kind due to this. However, india immediately expressed regret over the incident.
