AIADMK Coordinator O. Panneerselvam may be arrested within some period because of making a ruckus in front of the ADMK office along with their coordinators, so the case may be filed under section IPC 147,148,154,380,409,427,506(2) for handling heavy weapons. so it is said that he may be arrested at any time.There is no legal notice issued for the arrest.The news is not in clear for the arrest warrant.


Meanwhile, Former tamil Nadu chief minister & AIADMK Coordinator O. Panneerselvam has written a letter to Union minister Jaishankar requesting action to release tamil Nadu fishermen apprehended by the Sri Lankan Navy.'In his letter to the Union minister, Mr. Panneerselvam further insisted the government initiate a diplomatic dialogue with sri lanka to immediately stop such incidents of fishermen from tamil Nadu.
The frequent arrests of tamil Nadu fishermen were worrisome, he said, and further pointed out that fishermen associations have flagged that they were only pursuing their livelihood, in areas they have been fishing in ‘all along."
Mr. Panneerselvam referred to the two recent incidents in which fishermen from Nagapattinam were apprehended by the Sri Lankan Navy on august 10 and on august 22.
"It is very obvious that the intention of the Sri Lankan Navy is to infuse panic in the minds of the fishermen and thwart them from conducting fishing in their traditional waters," Mr. Panneerselvam contended.
