On friday during the departure ceremony for Chief Justice of india N.V. Ramana, the auditorium, which was crowded with members of the legal community, broke out in laughing. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta stated during his remarks at the farewell event hosted by the supreme court Bar Association that he intends to release some material that he has learned from reputable sources. "My lord has another passion besides law, and that passion is for telugu literature.

It might not be a surprise. But the truth is that his lordship is considering authoring a telugu romance novel after retirement "Mehta made the audience laugh so hard that their sides split. Mehta continued, smiling, "I've halted my research at that and didn't proceed to the source." Mehta said, "What motivated his lordship to write a love novel after retirement," and the CJI smiled back and indicated with a hand gesture that he has no such aspirations. Mehta claimed that the CJI spends time reading telugu literature after court, and that "perhaps we may learn after a year that there was a great telugu poet sitting with us."

In his speech, Chief Justice ramana stated he would want to rectify Mehta's remark while grinning widely. In line with IB reports, he stated: "Your claim about me planning to publish a love novel is not correct, Mr. Tushar Mehta." The CJI was observed stifling his own laughing as the audience erupted in laughter. He stated: "I might publish a few volumes on literature. I might write some books about historical occurrences that happened when I was an advocate and such."
