No need for Jagan to attend CBI court
The matter had previously been heard every friday in the cbi court. However, it is now mandated by the supreme court to hold daily sessions. As a result, jagan was given instructions by the cbi court to frequently attend the proceedings. Since jagan cannot remain in hyderabad constantly and continue to file exemption petitions, he applied to the high court for a permanent exemption from appearing in cbi court due to his professional obligations.
The top court agreed with his argument and accepted the petition. As a result, it rejected the cbi court's directives and excused jagan from regularly attending trial court. Instead, the top court decided that jagan could advocate for himself throughout the daily proceedings through his attorney. However, the high court ruled that anytime the cbi court deemed Jagan's attendance was necessary, he should be required to attend the trial.
