While tdp leader N. chandrababu naidu had been referring to Sakshi, TV9, and NTV as "blue media," chief minister Y.S. jagan Mohan reddy had been referring to TV5, Eenadu, and abn as "yellow media." jagan had always been spouting venom at the "yellow media," claiming that they had banded together with Naidu just to wreck the state. Naidu had exhorted the tdp cadre to boycott the "blue media," claiming that it was spreading bogus news and statistics.
