The supreme court on friday reprimanded a man and dismissed his petition, in which he had sought the apex court to issue an order to appoint himself as the President of the country. Angered by this petition, a bench of Upcoming Chief Justice D.Y.Chandrachud and Justice Hima kohli termed it as 'leniency' and termed it as 'outrageous'. The bench said that it is an insult to the judicial process. Along with dismissing the petition, the bench has ordered the supreme court Registry that in future also no appeal of this petitioner should be accepted on any issue.The petition was filed against not being allowed to contest elections.According to the report, kishore Jagannath Sawant had filed a petition in the supreme court seeking to make him the President. Jagannath, who appeared in person, alleged that he was not allowed to file his candidature during the election for the post of President. Jagannath, who describes himself as an environmentalist, also said that he can work in all kinds of conditions in the world.Supreme court reprimandedDuring the hearing, the supreme court reprimanded Jagannath and said that he can give a speech on the basis of his specialized knowledge because he is an environmentalist, but filing a petition in this way is not proper. Dismissing the petition, the supreme court ordered the registry not to accept any further appeal from it. However, the supreme court also ordered the Registry to remove the word 'derogatory' from the record of the hearing of this case.
