Bulldozer politics: Jagan, Oppn at loggerheads

The nation has witnessed the JCBs and demolition campaigns in Uttar Pradesh by the state administration. Another iteration of demolition politics is also playing out in the south, where political opponents in andhra pradesh claim that the governing YSRCP is using demolition efforts to target them. The stated explanations cover everything from criminal encroachment to road widening projects. The opposing parties, however, do not agree with this claim.
In the guntur district's unremarkable village of Ippatam, the most recent episode of demolition politics takes place. For a road expansion project, the authorities started tearing down the front parts of multiple homes and businesses on Friday. In any case, the Jana Sena party chose this location for their foundation day celebration on march 14 of this year after failing to secure an other location, apparently at the state government's request. The inhabitants of Ippatam claim that the destruction of their homes under the guise of road construction is the YSRCP's payback for their lands being donated to the JSP earlier this year for a public gathering.
Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, a member of the telugu desam party (TDP) politburo, charged that chief minister Y.S. jagan Mohan reddy had started his administration on a negative note. "He has been engaging in demolitions and attacks on those who are questioning his corrupt activities over the past three and a half years," he claimed. On Saturday, telugu actor and founder of the Jana Sena party pawan kalyan travelled to Ippatam to show his support for the locals. High drama occurred as planned when authorities attempted to stop him from visiting the village. Finally getting his way, pawan kalyan met the residents of Ippatam.
Later, pawan kalyan declared, "This is pure vengeance." "What use is it to enlarge a road to 100 feet when there isn't even a bus service in the village? This government is talking about building a road even though it can't even fix the state's pitiful roads "He remarked. The properties of tdp officials have been targeted in multiple instances of demolition politics since since jagan Mohan reddy became the cm, according to tdp leaders. tdp politician Chintakayala Ayyanapatrudu's home compound wall in Narsipatnam was partially removed a few months ago by the authorities due to infringement on government land.
