Atop Friday, the supreme court declined to get involved in the dispute over the andhra pradesh Tourism Department's planned guest house on the scenic Rushikonda Hills in Visakhapatnam. Kanumuru raghu Ramakrishna Raju, a renegade ysr congress party mp from Narasapuram, submitted a plea asking the supreme court to take up the case. Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice Abhay S. Oka made up the division bench that dismissed the appeal. The supreme court bench stated that because the case is still pending in the state high court, they are unable to become involved at this time.

"The petitioner may seek the state high court if he has any complaints to the government's activities," it stated. The Rushikonda case already had interim orders from the high court, thus the bench ruled that the aggrieved parties may only appeal to the supreme court once the high court had resolved the case. Raju said that the jagan government was violating the National Green Tribunal's order by indiscriminately excavating Rushikonda Hills in order to build a camp office and guest home for the chief minister Y S jagan Mohan Reddy. Additionally, he informed the court that the state administration had disregarded the high court's orders to halt building on Rushikonda Hills.
