His sudden death shocked tamil film industry fans and celebrities. Famous comedian Siva narayanamurthy hails from the Ponnavarayan fort area near Pattukottai, Tanjore district. He made his debut as an actor in the tamil film Poonthottam, and for the sake of identity, he also added his hometown Pattukottai to his name.

He has a wife named Pushpavalli, two sons named lokesh and Ramkumar, and a daughter named Sridevi. It is reported that his last rites will be held in his hometown Pattukottai today at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
