annapurna studios, which is led by Akkineni nagarjuna but was founded by the legendary ANR years ago, used to be one of the major production companies in the telugu film industry at one point in time. However, it appears from the outside that annapurna studios is currently mostly focused on offering post-production services to numerous telugu industry heavyweights, with little to no involvement in the movie production industry.
In those days, annapurna studios produced blockbusters like Siva, Ninne Pelladutha, manmadhudu, and Mass. However, most of their recent productions, including Hello, Rangula Ratnam, manmadhudu 2, Anubhavinchu Raja, and Bangarraju, failed to genuinely arouse public interest. The rest of the movies, with the exception of a few of them, have been box office duds. Of course, every production company experiences failures, but here are some opinions on this particular studio.
Even if the majority of them don't have a studio setup like Annapurna, it appears that companies like geetha Arts, suresh Productions, Mythri movie Makers, dil Raju's SVC, and Haarika & Haasini have been major players recently. They make more movies than annapurna would and produce at least one blockbuster success each year. What nagarjuna Akkineni thinks of this company and the quantity of movies they make is essentially the question at hand. One is left to question why the producers have left this banner.
