Bharat Biotech's nasal vaccine to be available on CoWIN app

The Bharat Biotech nasal vaccine has been approved and will be uploaded to the CoWIN app, according to health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya. "The nasal vaccine has been authorised by the indian government. It will be made first available in private hospitals and utilised as a heterologous booster. From today, it will be a part of the Covid vaccination programme "reputable sources stated. The intranasal Covid vaccination from Bharat Biotech will be made available in private facilities and will be released on CoWIN on friday night, according to PTI.

India Today previously reported that the nasal Covid vaccine from Bharat Biotech would soon be available in the nation as a booster dosage. The maker of Covaxin, Bharat Biotech, will introduce its nasal vaccination as a booster dose, opening the door for more possibilities for third or precautionary doses in India. The first such booster dosage to be administered in india would be the nasal vaccine from Bharat Biotech. It can be given to anyone who are older than 18 years old. The vaccine's price will shortly be determined, and both public and private facilities will carry it.

The CoWin portal currently lists Covaxin by Bharat Biotech, Covishield and Covovax by Serum Institute, Russian Sputink V, and Corbevax by Biological E Ltd. On september 6, the vaccine producer reported that the drugs Controller General of india had approved their iNCOVACC (BBV154) under the terms of Restricted Use in Emergency Situation for Ages 18 and Over.
