39-year-old Sreekanth Digala was killed in an accident near Princeton Junction in the evening when he was struck by an Amtrak train. Sreekanth, who resides in Plainsboro, New Jersey, is survived by his wife Suvarchala and son Aneesh, age 10. Sreekanth was the only provider for the family and was from Piler in the annamayya district of Andhra Pradesh. Regrettably, he was also solely responsible for his elderly parents and in-laws in india who were over 70 years old.

Family and friends remember him as a kind, kind, dedicated, free-spirited person who was full of life. Sreekanth's friends and family, local indian communities, TANA, and authorities from the indian Embassy have been coordinating to figure out how to carry out the ceremonies and execute final rites since his sudden passing. In order to help his family during these difficult times, his friends have organised a fundraiser. Also, every donation will go towards the son's tuition and emergency financial help.
