Kannai Nambathey Review - A Must Watch Gripping Suspense Thriller
Two friends go to great lengths to cover up a murder. But all ends in failure. director Maran has shot this in a thriller style without any barricades. The film is made to run for 2 hours and 12 minutes and that is a huge plus. Although we have some questions about the script, the film does not include scenes that are not necessary for the story. Thus the film is not boring at any point. Flashback scenes in some thrillers may not be accepted or contain weak scenes. But as far as this film is concerned, the flashback scenes are seldom boring. And the scenes in the film move one after the other without boring the audience.
The director has given proper importance to all the characters. There are no unwanted and unnecessary characters in the flow of the story. Nowadays, all the turning points in chennai are equipped with CCTV cameras. But there are CCTV cameras in only three locations in this film. And as an audience, we also feel whether people won't be roaming on roads at night or not. And we also see how the character who follows the friends goes to the scene before them. It seems that a little more attention could have been paid to those scenes.
The cinematography and music of the film are huge pillars. Both of these technicalities have helped to convey the visuals and impress the audience's mind. The film was launched four years ago. But we couldn't see the old stuff anywhere. There are very few flaws in the movie and they could have been avoided as well.
Overall, A Must watch Gripping Suspense Thriller
