Father restricted this actress to act in Shankar's films..!?
Varalakshmi said that it was because of actor Sarathkumar that she missed the opportunity to act as a
heroine in 3
blockbuster hit films, including Shankar. Varalakshmi, the daughter of actor Sarathkumar, made her debut in the
tamil film
industry in 2012 with the film Poda Podi directed by Vignesh Shivan. Varalakshmi, who acted opposite
simbu in the very first film, also showed off her dancing skills as a salsa dancer in the film. After Poda Podi, Varalakshmi got an opportunity to act in other
language films like
kannada and Malayalam.
Varalakshmi is astute, boldly playing villainous roles without pretending that she will play the heroine. In particular, Varalakshmi acted as Willy for
vishal in the film Chandakozhi and as Willy for Vijay in the film Sarkar directed by AR Murugadoss. Later, she chose to act in films with importance for the
heroine like Velvet City, Danny, Chasing, and Singa Paarvai. But these films did not give her a big hand. Currently, actress Varalakshmi has released a
thriller film called
maruti Nagar
police Station. The film has been released directly on the Aha OTT platform. Varalakshmi has played the role of a cop in the film.
bigg boss Aarav and Santhosh Pratap are also playing important roles with him. Dayal Padmanabhan directed the film. During the promotion of the film, actress
varalakshmi sarathkumar talked about the films she missed. Accordingly, Varalakshmi was the first choice to play the
heroine in Boys directed by Shankar. After conducting all the auditions for this,
shankar has chosen that she will be correct. But since Sarathkumar did not give permission, Varalakshmi could not act in it. After that,
shankar introduced
genelia as the
heroine of the film. Similarly, there was a plan to cast Varalakshmi in the
romantic film directed by
balaji Sakthivel. Next, he tried to cast Varalakshmi in Saroja directed by
venkat Prabhu. But since Sarathkumar did not give permission at that time, Varalakshmi said that she missed these 3
blockbuster hit films.
