200-Cr Blockbuster Has No OTT Buyers

The kerala Story, starring adah sharma, was one of this year's biggest successes and brought in more than Rs. 200 crores at the box office. A portion of the audience that supports the demonization of a certain group in india has praised the movie. On the other side, some denounced it as disgusting propaganda that undermined the nation's secular decorum, similar to The kashmir Files.

It is said that the movie had no takers on OTT despite its box office triumph. Sudipto Sen, the director, claimed that they have yet to get a decent offer from any OTT platform and that they feel the movie business has united against his movie in an effort to punish them for its popularity. The producers are reportedly asking for absurdly high sums for the OTT rights to The kerala Story, according to the most recent sources.

The OTT platforms, however, have developed enough intelligence to avoid falling into their trap. When they purchased The kashmir Files last time at astronomical prices based on its movie office success, they had to swallow a painful pill. However, the movie was a tremendous failure on OTT since it was poorly received by the online public. The majority of those who support this type of movie have already seen The kerala Story in theatres. The OTT participants are not willing to pay the sum requested by the producers because they are confident that this movie would replicate The kashmir Files scenario on OTT and is not a high-quality product.
