How Oppn Alliance Finalised the name- ‘INDIA’..?
Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) was officially announced as the name of the coalition of Congress-led opposition parties for the 2024 lok sabha elections on tuesday in Bengaluru. Chief ministers delivered jokes and overused the acronym to highlight the various viewpoints within the group that will compete against the Bharatiya Janata Party-led national democratic alliance (NDA).Mamta Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, had the first joke to deliver and is said to have proposed the acronym initially. "Can you take on india, NDA? Can the bjp take on India? Can the other people take on India? We are proud of our motherland. We are the nation's patriotic citizens. We are here for you, for farmers, for Muslims, for Christians, for Sikhs, and for Dalits. We are here for the nation and the entire planet. Banerjee stated the goals of the opposition team: "Catch us if you can!"The next speaker was her counterpart in Delhi, arvind kejriwal, who also had a message. In his opening remarks, kejriwal criticised prime minister Narendra Modi and his nine years in office, emphasising that "despite the opportunity to do much for the people of the country, not one sector has done well." kejriwal cited the faults of the Modi administration and the necessity for india to run in the 2024 elections by saying, "He has destroyed the economy and the railways, he has sold out, he has sold our ships..."
