Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) was officially announced as the name of the coalition of Congress-led opposition parties for the 2024 lok sabha elections on tuesday in Bengaluru. Chief ministers delivered jokes and overused the acronym to highlight the various viewpoints within the group that will compete against the Bharatiya Janata Party-led national democratic alliance (NDA).Mamta Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, had the first joke to deliver and is said to have proposed the acronym initially.
