Congress and Communist parties protest in Chennai to condemn Manipur incident

A demonstration was held yesterday near the dargah on Anna Road, chennai under the leadership of tamil Nadu Women's congress President sudha Ramakrishnan to condemn the sexual harassment of tribal women in Manipur.
Tamil Nadu congress Vice Presidents Pon.Krishna Murthy, Imaya Kakkan, district Presidents Siva.Raja Sekaran, MS Thiraviyam and others participated in this demonstration. On behalf of the tamil Nadu Students' congress, a protest was held in front of Nungambakkam Shastri Bhavan, chennai under the leadership of its state president chinna Thambi.
State sc team leader MP Ranjan Kumar, district president MS Thiraviyam and many others participated in this. On behalf of the branches of the communist party of india such as the Mother National Federation of india, the All india Students' Forum, and the tamil Nadu Oppressed People's Right to Life Movement, Manipur tribal women wearing black cloths over their mouths protested in front of the Panagal Palace in Saidapet, chennai yesterday. All india General Secretary of indian Mother National Federation Ani raja participated in this.

Under the leadership of former Marxist Communist mla SK Mahendran, district Secretary of indian Democratic youth Association Saravanan Tamilan and Regional Secretary Vimala, more than 50 people tried to picket in Korukuppet railway station area. The police stopped them and arrested them.
